Guardrail Formwork

Guardrail formwork, also known as crash barrier formwork, is a special standardized steel formwork for cast-in-place concrete safety guardrails in highways, bridges, viaducts and municipal road projects. As an essential construction tool for road protection works, it is used for concrete guardrail forming, accurately controlling the linearity, section size, gradient and appearance quality of guardrails. It bears concrete lateral pressure and construction external force, effectively avoiding form expansion, slurry leakage and deformation, and ensuring the crash resistance, flatness and overall stability of finished guardrails.
Fabricated with high-quality Q235B steel through precision welding, the guardrail formwork consists of face plates, stiffening ribs, flange connecting plates, tie bolts, supporting brackets and external adjustment structures. It is commonly designed in F-type, L-type and wall-type crash structures, suitable for bridge side guardrails, road median guardrails and subgrade slope crash guardrails. Adopting standardized and modular design, the formwork features tight joints, sufficient rigidity and low deformation. It enables one-time integral pouring of guardrails with straight linearity and smooth surface, effectively eliminating common concrete defects such as honeycomb, pitting and dislocation.
Applicable to both on-site cast-in-place and factory prefabricated construction methods, the formwork is easy to assemble and disassemble, flexible to adjust, reusable and highly durable. It greatly improves the construction efficiency of protection projects and reduces construction costs, which is widely used in expressways, municipal bridges, urban expressways, interchanges and other traffic civil engineering projects.
